Maximus™
Released by Linotype in 1967, the Maximus font first appeared in The Daily Telegraph, used for classified advertising, in December 1967. The optimum size is 4.75 point. The Maximus font has a very large x-height, short ascenders and descenders and generous character widths combine to give good legibility at very small sizes.
