Maximus™

Released by Linotype in 1967, the Maximus font first appeared in The Daily Telegraph, used for classified advertising, in December 1967. The optimum size is 4.75 point. The Maximus font has a very large x-height, short ascenders and descenders and generous character widths combine to give good legibility at very small sizes. Maximus™is a trademark of Linotype Corp. registered in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and may be registered in certain other jurisdictions in the name of Linotype Corp. or its licensee Linotype GmbH.
